We don’t want to alarm you unnecessarily but here is some information on the symptoms of renal failure that you should watch for if you think your pet may have eaten some of the recalled food:

  1. From the Feline Chronic Renal Failure Information Center here are the symptoms of renal failure in cats: http://www.felinecrf.com/what0.htm
  2. The symptoms of renal failure in dogs are similar: Lack of or decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting and/or a change in urine production.

If you feel your pet may have a problem, or has eaten some of the recalled food, please call your hospital and we will schedule a time for you to come in for a consultation with one of our doctors and, if necessary, quick in-house lab tests to address your concerns.
