Dr. King received her veterinary training at the University of California at Davis and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1982. She developed an intense interest in all aspects of helping animals including Alternative Therapies of acupuncture, herbal and chiropractic treatments as compliments to tradition Western therapies. She studied acupuncture with the International Veterinary Association Society and was certified by the IVAS in 2001 as a veterinary acupuncturist.
She has studied Basic and Advanced Chinese Herbal Therapies and obtained certification to practice these approaches by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 2005.
During her long career, Dr. King has been a partner in a veterinary clinic in San Diego, operated her own mobile practice in Mesa, and finally joined Aberdeen Animal Hospital in 2004. She has lived in Mesa since 1986 with her wonderful husband, and 2 normal kids. They share their home with Steve, Tyler and Homer – all members of the feline species. |
